Wayne Robert McGill Fortnum
61, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Monday April 27, 2020 at his home in Bowmanville, Ontario.Wayne was born on February 2, 1959 in London, Ontario.Son of Barbara Heddington (1941 - 1991) and Reginald McGill (1940 - 1998).He grew up in London along with his siblings Kelly (Huis), Kevin, Linda (1961 - 2003) and Darren where his love of racing, cars and music blossomed.Wayne had recently retired from General Motors after 25+ years of hard work - shifting his focus to music, travel and love.He is survived by his daughter Anne, as well as his sons Alex and Travis.His grandchildren Jessica, Jamison, Jeffrey and Julienne. His nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

(March 12th, 1944 - April 26th, 2020) It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of their beloved Wally, at his home on April 26, 2020.Loving husband, best friend and soul mate of Linda Gardner (Burkett).Loving father of Glen (Cheryl) and Debra (Cory).Cherished stepfather of Brian and Chris (Jennifer) Haslam.Adored grandfather of Logan, Mason, Ethan, Cassie, Samantha, Kevin, Kinsley, Michael, Nathan, Daniel, Kylie, Kaleb, Rylan, & Warner. Beloved brother of Sharon (Percy), Carol (George), Steven (Tessa) and is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ethel, by brothers Gordie, Mackie, and David, by sister Bonnie and by first wife Susan Martin.Dear brother-in- law of Lloyd (Barbara), Allen (Lydia), Beverly (Jim) and Kathy (Dennis). He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including Jenny and Katrina.Wally was a very proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces (1RCR) Pro Patria and the NATO Veterans of Canada.Those who knew Wally understood his love and appreciation for the great outdoors, as well as golfing, fishing, hunting, & being out on his motorcycle.Wally was a self-taught wood carver and his amazing artistic talent has been passed on to his grandchildren. March 29th, 1936 - April 26th, 2020Bill passed away peacefully at his retirement residence, Abbeylawn Manor in Pickering, on Sunday, April 26th. He recently celebrated his 84th birthday.Bill is predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine (2004).He was called “Dad” by his three children: daughter Sandra (spouse Bob Alexander); son John (spouse Sandra Zidaric); daughter Jennifer (spouse Bob Mills).Bill was also known as “Pa” to grandchildren: Jason & Jenn, Melissa, Michelle, Adam, Stephanie, Megan, David, Evan, Brandon & Kenny.He was known as “Great Pa” to great-grandchildren: Hayden, Kyla, Mya, Abigail, Chase & Victoria. Bill lived and worked all his years in the Coldwater / Orillia area. He loved to play or watch the game of baseball.Bill was a very private man who requested no funeral service. His ashes will be interred with Catherine at the St. James Cemetery in Orillia.A private celebration of his life will take place, when pandemic restrictions are lifted. Suddenly after a long illness, at Lakeridge Health Port Perry with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in his 63rd year.Beloved husband of Debbie (nee Yakeley) for just shy of 31 years.He will also be remembered by his extended family and friends.Will loved music, as evidenced by his over 1300 record collection; he also enjoyed cooking, sports and will be most remembered for his favourite catchphrase: “Strong like bull… Dumb like truck!” At Will’s request, cremation has taken place. William ‘Bill’ Joynson
(April 12, 1934 – April 21, 2020)Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on April 21st, 2020, he bravely fought the progress of dementia for the last 5 years.Left to grieve are his beloved wife Sheila, his daughter Lori (Bob) of Burlington and son Phil (Kathy) of Enniskillen.Will be missed by his grandchildren Natalie (Tetsu) of Toyko, Japan, Dr. Taylor Richardson (Seth), Emma (Bryson) of Colbourne and Eric.Bill was born on April 12th, 1934 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan and is the youngest of 5 children of Frank and Sally Joynson. He will be remembered by his sister Glynis (Vin) and predeceased by his siblings Harvey (Eve), Gwen (Leslie) and Marg (Paul). He met Sheila in Staffordshire, England when she was 16 and he was 19. After living in England, he returned to Canada when he was 20 and started working when he sent for Sheila and they were married in Toronto in 1955. He was a private and wonderful man he had many friends and relatives in Canada and England.A heartfelt thanks to all who helped over the past 6 months, Queen Elizabeth PSW’s, Paramed nurses and PSW’s and all the caring nurses at Lakeridge Health who made his last days more comfortable.We would also like to thank Deb and Adrianna of the Elder Abuse Durham Police Dept., and a Special Thank You to Michelle of the Alzheimer Society of Whitby. We have said the last of our long goodbyes and he is at peace now. Marie and Paul Scharfenberg (Sue) of Brooklin. Sister of Doreen (Florida), Stepmother of Fred, Heather, Susan, Pat (Late), and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.Wilma resided in Elliot Lake for 20 years and called it home with many friends and Church community. March 12, 1942 - April 13, 2020 Bill passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday April 13, 2020 in Newcastle, ON. He is the loving father of Niki (Tony) and Jenny (Graham).He is Grandad to 7 grandkids, Isabella, Jack, Gabriel, Max, Alessia, Reese and Nicolas. He is predeceased by his parents Theodore Jack Brant and Ruth Gladys Spall and his nephew David Brant. He is survived by his brother John (Fran) and Betty(Bill) and nieces/nephews Paul (Joanne), Tina and Ellie and 4 great nieces/nephews. Bill was a longtime resident of Whitby, growing up at 513 Dundas St E as a child.He was also a small business owner in Whitby where he owned the Brock St Theatre/Whitby Cinema and then purchased Burtinsky Florists, renaming it Burtinsky & Brant Florist. He had a longtime love of plants, flowers and his family.During this unimaginable time, please remember to think of the long term care workers, frontline workers and all those that risk their lives daily for us. There will be no service at this time due to the current situation.
